What do we offer to employers in greater Boston?

Free consulting, recruiting and placement services. By matching reliable individuals and mobile work crews with your specific staffing needs we can help solve your entry-level staffing challenges quickly and efficiently

What types of jobs do we fill for local employers?

We fill all types of entry-level jobs in a diverse range of industries, including: distribution centers, manufacturing, hotels/motels, hospitals, nursing homes, restaurants, retail stores, supermarkets, wholesale clubs, warehouses, mailrooms and business offices.

What hiring options do employers have?

You can hire a Lifeworks individual directly on your payroll, or choose a “trial plan” before making a permanent hiring decision.

We’ll simply bill you at the end of the month for the work performed at a very competitive hourly rate.

We then pay the individual worker for the hours they have worked, at minimum wage, and take care of all administrative work involving taxes workmen’s comp insurance, etc. for you.

You may cancel the agreement at any time or, hopefully, convert from the trial plan to a direct hire any time you choose.

Why are our recruiting and staffing services offered at no charge to employers?

We’re funded through the Department of Mental Retardation, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission as well as private donations, so everything we do for you is provided at no cost.

Our goal is to develop successful employment opportunities for our clients and effective staffing solutions for local employer partners.

The only payment you’re responsible for is to the worker for the job they’ve done.

Do we place long-term or temporary personnel?

We place individuals in permanent, part-time positions as well as temporary and seasonal jobs.

What’s in it for you, the employer?

You can save a lot of money on advertising, recruiting and pre-screening costs by letting Lifeworks do all that legwork for you.

You’ll be hiring people who are available immediately, who want to work, and whose attendance and performance will really impress you.

At the same time, you’ll be building community and customer appreciation, workplace morale and earn valuable tax credits ….clearly a “win-win” for everyone!

What if you need to sub-contract your work?

Lifework has two sites where we complete assembly jobs for many companies who sub-contract their work to us.

References from long term employer partners are available upon request.

We will be happy to provide rate quotes “by the hour” or “by the piece”…whatever works best for your business.
