Life Estate

Continue to live in your home, while receiving an income tax deduction

A Life Estate is a gift of a reminder interest in your personal residence. You would irrevocably transfer title to your personal residence to Lifeworks with related rights to use your property for a term that is specified in your gift agreement…usually for you and your spouse’s life.

You will continue to live in your house, while receiving an income tax deduction for the value of your gift. The value of your gift is calculated using present value techniques on the gifted home.
