- Hire a Lifeworks referral directly on your payroll.
- Choose a "trial plan" before making a permanent hiring decision. We'll bill you at the end of the month for the work performed at a very competitive hourly rate. you can convert from the trial plan to direct hire (switch the individual to your payroll) any time you choose.
You may cancel the arrangement if our individual is not meeting your production goals. (Unlikely, with our free supervision, quality control and ongoing supports.)
- We're funded through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) as well as private donations, so everything we do for you is provided at no cost, other than paying the worker the regular wage for the job they do.
- Our goal is to develop successful, long term employment relationships for our individuals and local businesses.
- We place individuals in permanent, part-time positions as well as temporary and seasonal jobs.
- You can save a lot of money on advertising, recruiting and pre-screening costs required to fill entry-level jobs that often have high and expensive turnover.
- Lifeworks will do all that legwork for you.
- You'll be hiring people who are available immediately, who want to work, and whose attendance and performance will really impress you.
- You'll be building community and customer appreciation, workplace morale and perhaps become eligible for valuable tax credits.
- Lifeworks has two sites where we complete sub-contracting jobs such as assembly, kitting, packaging, sealing, etc.
- We will be happy to provide rate quotes "by the hour" or "by the piece"…whatever works best for your business. Just ask us about your project and we'll get a quote to you within 24 hours.
- To make it as easy as possible for you, we will pick up and deliver your materials at no cost.
- We can also work directly at your site if you prefer.

- On-the-job skill assessment at one of our own Training Centers or on-site at a business in the community.
- Individuals will be accompanied by a professional job coach and encouraged to test their abilities at a variety of tasks, for example:

- Costs are based on the level and types of supports required.
- Funding sources pay for the costs of each approved program.
- Most of our funding comes from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
- We also receive funding from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) for job development and employment support services.
- While DDS and MRC are our primary funding sources, we also receive support from the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority and the public partnership LLC.
- Some individuals purchase services through 'private 'pay' arrangements.
